Introducing the New Optimist SS23 collection

For the first time ever, New Optimist introduces woven fabrics to the collection. Discover a perfect balance of light chambrays and heavy canvasses. Both dyed and undyed, the new materials can be easily combined with our signature sweat fabrics.

For the sunniest season of the year, the New Optimist colour palette is inspired by Summer fruits. A range of vibrant, mouth-watering colours is set against a backdrop of darker, indigo shades, referring to those mystical, hot Summer night skies.

Cheerful graphics are in focus, like the applications inspired by the kinetic art of Alexander Calder, which are created with excess material in the production process. Waste no waste. That’s how we roll into the new season, and into the new fashion era.

Add to that the opening of our new atelier right in the heart of Amsterdam —where we design and produce the entire collection. As well as the introduction of new silhouettes —that are inspired by bodies not genders— and you simply know: change is here.
